The winery and estate vineyards of Deer Ridge are nestled on a portion of the Old Wetmore Ranch, the historic home of Clarence Wetmore and some of the oldest and most famous vineyards in California history.

Our vineyards are on a gentle slope that climbs from the valley floor to a ridge overlooking the valley, and the vines thrive on the microclimates the rising terrain offers. As the sandy loam of the valley floor gives way to the gravel bench of the ridge, the vineyard manager has carefully planted varietals that appreciate these changes.
